Over 400 persons have benefited from another empowerment programme facilitated by the lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye.
The programme was organized in CMD Magodo, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, on Tuesday, as over 400 individuals were presented empowerment items.
The items distributed includes Mini buses, tricycles, computers, printers, UPS, generators, deep freezers, sewing machines, grinding machines, hairdryer, agricultural enhancement machinery among others.
The empowerment came a few weeks after 400 youths and women were empowered with N100,000 cash each by the lawmaker.
It will be recalled that the lawmaker who many motions and bills sponsored by him has
facilitated many completed projects across while 80 Bed Health Centre, Ojota, construction of block of classrooms and several others are under construction.
According to Agunsoye, thousands of constituents who cut across sectors and cadres; women and youths including Nonmembers of All Progressives Congress benefited from his series of Empowerment programmes.
He said each beneficiary was selected randomly across three Councils under Kosofe Federal Constituency, depending on the category of business.
The lawmaker explained that it was in fulfillment of his personal vow to God to give back to the society and carry everyone along in the process of adding value to the lives of the people
that he had chosen the empowerment after due consultation with his constituents, adding that he was sure that it would have direct impact on them.
He implored them not to sell but make good use of the tools given for the purpose it was meant for, assuring that apart from the ongoing ones, other physical projects will be completed soon and many more empowerment programmes in 2022.
One of the beneficiaries from Kosofe, Mrs Dupe Akerele, expressed delight and also regard the Lawmaker as “promise keeper.”
Akerele, who got over N1.2Million Mini Suzuki Bus, said it would make her to begin a profitable business.
Another beneficiary from Kosofe, Mr Sabur Dayo, who got a sewing machine, said that there couldn’t have been a better way to alleviate people’s suffering at the grassroots than given them empowering tools that outweighed cash.
