The Councilor representing ward C area of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development has debunked the claims that Remo Stars FC Academy President, Kunle Soname is sponsoring Honourable Abiodun Owokoya who is campaigning for Kosofe Federal Constituency seat 2023.
Cheche is the first contestant that has signified his interest in Kosofe Federal Constituency seat according to reports.
Following the disclosure of Francis Adebayo that he will contest Kosofe Constituency 2 seat on the platform of PDP, one Gabriel from All Progressives Congress said that there might be vacancy in Kosofe Constituency 2 House of Assembly seat in 2023. He added that Cheche should have been advised to contest the seat, and not Kosofe Federal Constituency seat.
The unsolicited adviser who seems to be supporter of in the incumbent lawnmower, Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye never showed his preference among the contestants, but went further to claim that former Ikosi Isheri Lcda Chairman, Kunle Soname is sponsoring Cheche.
He said,” We have on good records, that Soname wants to sponsor him.”
In defense of soname’s Councilor, Adedeji Oshinowo, said, “That is not the truth my boss is not interested in sponsoring any candidate.”
When our correspondent contacted Abbey Cheche who is a lover of sports and big fan of Remo Stars FC said he visited Remo Stars Stadium like every Nigerians to watch Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL.
“I am yet to inform Honourable Kunle Soname who is also a stakeholder in Kosofe Politics about my ambition”
While urging APC members to play by the rule of the game, he equally enjoined them not to create unnecessary bad blood among the party leaders as 2023 General elections takes different dimension and work for the Total victory for Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu Presidential project.
