The People Democratic Party of Kosofe chapter has been on the lookout for a replacement for the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Moyo Ogunlewe, following the forthcoming general election.
According to the party, it was to fill the huge vacuum he created over 2 years ago.
Moyo, was the party candidate in 2015, 2019 for Kosofe Constituency 1 house of assembly general election until he resigned his membership from PDP’s and joined All Progressives Congress shortly after he lost the election to the incumbent Lawmaker, Mr. Sanni Okanlawon.
Moyo crossover to APC alongside his numerous supporters and his later emergence as council chairman about 5 Months ago may greatly affect the chances of PDP in it’s supposed stronghold.
Meanwhile, Kosofe Constituency 2 that used to have shortage of candidates during election in the electoral district that oftentimes prompted candidates to be ferried from Kosofe Constituency 1 to stand for election, now have several popular candidates who have hit the ground working over the months while Kosofe 1 were still searching for a well-prepared contestants to change APC candidate in Q1, 2023.

This medium gathers that many party members now expected Kosofe PDP key decision makers such as the party Apex Leader, Barrister (Mrs) Onikepo Oshodi, PDP Southwest General Secretary, Rahman Owokoniran, Former Woman Leader and current Member of Lagos State Caretaker Committee, Bisi Odunsi, Former Deputy State Chairman, Welly Hassan and Former Deputy State Chairman, Ola Apena, LGA Chairman, Niyi Olabiran, who all based in Kosofe Constituency 1 to proffer solutions to the challenge as no contestants seems to be working.
