Owokoniran congratulates new Ward Executives in Kosofe, says Lagos State is tired of APC

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, South-West General Secretary, Chief Rahman Owokoniran congratulate the Anthony Village Mende Maryland “ward C” Executives inaugurated in Mende Maryland on Sunday, urging them to educate residents why the party is the best alternative to the ruling Party.
“The challenge ahead is enormous, People of Lagos State are tired of APC, They want to change that change is not going to be easy because when you are benefiting from them you die for them but they are very small in number, but those who want change they’re larger even three times larger than them.”
He noted that PDP’s is the only viable alternative party that can get APC out of office in 2023.
“In 2015 we did it, we defeated them, but we cannot keep our feet. 2019 the same thing, 2023 our potential is greater than it was ever.”
While highlighting the People Democratic Party stronghold in Kosofe Federal Constituency, Owokoniran’s said PDP owned Anthony Village, Mende Maryland ‘Ward C’ area of Kosofe Local Government.
He said in 2015 the referendum was about good luck on alleged corruption. He added that the people’s verdict was against the party. Currently, the people’s referendum is about All Progressives Congress; insecurity, unemployment, poor economic amongst.
While congratulating the new Ward Executive in his Ward, He implored them to sensitize residents on the need to join the party.
He advised the ward Executives to strengthen the unity of the party, and the larger interest of the party should be considered above any individual and aspirants interest. He enjoined to be prepared to work for the party candidates once they emerged.
He stressed the power of the Ward Executives by sighting the Former National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole, and former PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus was suspended from their various wards. He urged party Executives and members to be law-abiding and shun any activities and conducts that will bring the party to disrepute at the grassroots.
Earlier speaking to our correspondent the ward Chairman, Prince Benedict Okocha expressed his profound gratitude to the party leadership and members for finding worthy of returning for the second term.
He said the PDP in Kosofe Constituency 1 are ready and prepared to send the ruling Party out Kosofe 2023.
He urged residents that have reached the age of 18 to get their continuous Voters card and others to update their permanent voter’s cards ahead of the 2023 general elections.
