Okanlawon team won unifier match

The Ward C team coached by Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, won a friendly match against the Ward A’s on Thursday.

The match, which was organized by concerned APC youths and supported by the legislator, is geared towards unifying constituents through the game of football ahead of the 2023 general election.

Four teams from across Kosofe Constituency 1 participated in the match held at Beko Ransome-Kuti Playing Ground, Anthony Village, Lagos.

The winning team, Ward C, comprised of Anthony Village and Mende Maryland, defeated Oworonshoki, Ward A’s team, 2-0.

The winner went home with cash gifts.

Speaking, Okanlawon, who is the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Lagos State House of Assembly Election for Kosofe Constituency 1, commended the organizer and urged youths to unite with the party and bring total victory for the party in the February and March elections.

The lawmaker, who previously sponsored table tennis competitions, listed his other achievements within the first term and said he had set a goal for himself. He also encouraged the youths to do the same, among others.
