‘Make good use of cash grants’

The Chairman of the IKosi Isheri Council in Lagos State, Princess Samiat Bada, has admonished the beneficiaries of her monthly financial empowerment programme to make judicious use of the money.


The recipients include widows, aged people, youths, people living with disabilities, representatives of the CDC/CDA, market men’s and women’s associations, imams, CAN, the Ndigbo community, the Arewa Community, members of the Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA), and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), among others.


During the presentations at the council headquarters on Thursday, she reiterated her administration’s commitment to delivering the basic amenities to residents while fulfilling other electioneering campaign promises, among others.
The 150 beneficiaries came from seven wards in the council area among the recipients.
While speaking to a Kosofe Post correspondent shortly after the event, she said her gesture is geared towards eradicating poverty in the community and society at large.
She stated that the monthly rotational funds distributed to the beneficiaries will aid in the expansion of their businesses.The 50,000 per recipient means a lot.
Samiat further said that the funds are not meant for holiday celebrations, adding that the monthly monitoring committee has been put in place to monitor them.
The elated beneficiaries were full of praise for the Chairman for responding to the challenges posed by the nation’s economy. They added that the money helped them boost their businesses.
