Carew join Kosofe Constituency race

Hon. Lanre Carew FCA succumbed to numerous supporters’ pressure as he finally joined the race for Kosofe Constituency 1, Lagos State House of Assembly race.

The Farmcity boss, who told our correspondent a few weeks ago, shortly after returning from a long business trip from the UAE, disclosed his intention to contest in the forthcoming Lagos State House of Assembly Kosofe Constituency 1 Primary election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress early this morning.

Carew, who also participated in the 2019 House Assembly race, has been under immense pressure from his supporters to run for the Kosofe Constituency 1 Lagos state House of Assembly seat.

He has paid courtesy visits to the Governor’s Advisory Council leaders in the Lagos East Senatorial District, Otunba Bushira Alebiosu and Omoba Olumuyiwa Sosanya, a member of GAC, to seek their blessings.

Also, he visited the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Moyo Ogunlewe, and several Apex Leaders in the last few weeks.

His entrance into the race alongside incumbent House of Assembly members representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Hon. Sanni Okanlawon, and Gabriel Oluwafemi has now increased the number of contestants.Kosofe
 
Post reports that Carew, who participated in the 2021 Local Government Election race and who was in the early lead during the APC inconclusive primary, was asked to step down.

He was defeated by the party’s supremacy in the last two APC primary elections in which he participated.
