Ramadan: LG chairman, cleric urge Nigerians to stay positive, keep praying for peace

The Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Mr Moyosore Ogunlewe has urged Nigerians to use the Holy Month of Ramadan to stay positive and prayed for the peaceful coexistence in the country.

Ogunlewe made this known during the Special Prayer for the former governor of Lagos State, Sen. Bola Tinubu at the council’s secretariat in Lagos on Wednesday.

The council’s Chairman said what matter most was for both the Christians and Muslims to keep praying for the peace and unity of the country as the nation elect another leaders in 2023.

He said the significance of the special prayer for the former governor was for them to first seek for prayer for his ambition to become the next president of Nigeria

“Whatever you do in this life, you must seek God first and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has been our leader, our benefactor.

“This is why we are organizing this special prayer during the month of Ramadan to pray for him, to pray for ourselves and for the unity of this country.

“This is the time we all need prayers and i urged the youths to remain focus in whatever they are doing and they will achieve their dreams,” he said.

Speaking, the Guest Speaker of the occasion, Alhaji Kolawole Abdulkudri, said the lecture that took place today was to seek the face of God for the presidential ambition of the former governor.

Abdulkadri, the Chief Imam, said Tinubu was a leader that discovered many of the political leaders in the country.

The cleric, urged political leaders to be of good morals in their activities.
