2023: Ibrahim Balogun may clinch Kosofe Constituency 2 ticket

Prince Ibrahim Balogun may likely have clinched the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Kosofe Constituency 2 Lagos State House of Assembly ticket for the party.
 
Other candidates vying for the ticket include Pastor Francis Adebayo, a 2015 PDP Kosofe Constituency 2 House of Assembly candidate, Donald Tambi, and Okufuwa Samad.

A source disclosed that the Kosofe Post reported that the sponsor of Francis Adebayo, Mrs. Bisi Odunsi, who is tipped to clinch the PDP National Delegate alongside other party leaders, made a U-turn to dash the Pastor’s hope for Balogun’s while several contestants were missing, Francis got right to work early last year, mobilizing constituents for PVC registration, free medical outreaches, free food, and educational material distribution.

Party leaders also organized tech training and gave cash grants across Kosofe Federal Constituency to vulnerable people, party leaders, and organized birth parties for party leaders, among others. 

According to Kosofe Post findings, the former PDP State women’s leader and former member of the Caretaker Committee of the Lagos State chapter of the party, Mrs. Odunsi, offered the option of being a House of Assembly candidate and Juicy National delegate.

She, however, settled for the latter.

The party leaders that facilitated the emergence of the elected/selected 18 Adhoc Last Saturday, 30 statutory ward delegates, a national delegate, and an LGA statutory delegate decided who would win the Kosofe Constituency 2 ticket out of four candidates.

However, the exchange of mouth-watering brown envelopes and other incentives among the delegates may spring up last-minute surprises.
