The Lagos Chapter of the Not Too Young To Run movement educated the people of Oshodi/Isolo LGA on the need to obtain their PVCs as regards the forthcoming general elections.
When speaking with the Public Relations Officer of the movement, Dr. Adesua Abubakar, she said, “It has become more important than ever that we sensitize our people about the collection of PVCs and its use aside from being a means of identification.
“We started with the Oshodi local government and we can assure you that we will carry out more local governments before the CVR exercise elapses. Today we have been able to pre-register 1,276 residences in Oshodi as well as explain the importance of voting.”
The coordinator of the movement, Comrade Feyi Fabiyi, also expatiated on the importance of PVCs in the electoral process and charged people to claim their voters’ cards when the time comes, as the number of abandoned cards at INEC offices is always alarming. The era of sitting at home without voting is over, she said.
This is beautiful and calls for support on more Community Sensitization on PVC Registration and Collections. NTYTR has done tremendously well.
