Samuel Olanrewaju Adebayo (SOA), President of the Education and Health Foundation, has withdrawn from the 2023 Kosofe Constituency 2 House of Assembly race.
A few weeks ago, Adebayo,
who made his first attempt at the seat in the 2019 and 2020 Kosofe Constituency 2 Bye-election to provide a credible voice to residents, announced he would contest the 2023 state Assembly on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.
While speaking to the newsmen on Tuesday, he said he decided to withdraw from the race according to advice from the APC Governor’s Advisory Council Lagos East Senatorial Leader Otunba Bushira Alebiosu and other notable leaders.
Speaking further, he said, “I am stepping down, and also throwing my weight behind the candidate of the party.”
Ahead of the party’s primary election coming up on Thursday, he further appealed to party members, leaders, and most especially party delegates, to not make the contest a “do or die affair.
“I urge all my friends, allies, and supporters in the APC to give all their support and rally around the party choice.
