Ogbara clinches APC’s Reps ticket for Kosofe Federal Constituency

The National Coordinator, Women in Nigeria for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (WIN4ABAT) and Lagos State Secretary, Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (SWAGA’23), Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, has clinched the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to contest for the Kosofe Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives.

In a primary conducted on Friday, May 27th, 2022 and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), was conducted by the party officials led by Mr. Fuad Oki at IKosi Isheri Lcda Secretariat.

Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, the winner of Kosofe Federal Constituency APC’s House of Reps Primary Election held at IKosi Isheri Lcda on Friday, May 27, 2022.

She defeated her rival, Remi Odunsi Oluwagbon, by a wide margin, 44–1, out of the 45 accredited delegates out of 50 total votes.

Other contestants, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, ARC, Dayo Bush, and Engr. Abiodun Owokoya, respectively, scored zero.The landslide victory validates the predictions of keen observers since she resigned her membership of the Lagos Audit Board Commission to join the race.
 
Speaking to the newsmen shortly after she was declared the winner, Ogbara described her victory as a victory for democracy.

She expressed profound gratitude to the National Leader of the APC, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu; Governor Babajide Sanwoolu; and Chairman, Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Tajudeen Olusi, for their exemplary leadership. She thanked the Trio of Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Ikosi Isheri Lcda Mayoress Samiat Bada, and Agboyi Ketu Lcda Chairman, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, party leaders, members, and delegates. 

She specially thanked the delegates for voting her voluntarily without any monetary inducement.

She assured her constituents that they should expect a credible voice and quality representation.
