The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Senator Kashim Shettima, to visit the former Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Jibrilla Bindow, at his residence in Abuja on Thursday.
The Kosofe Post reports Prominent APC chieftains in the delegation, including Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (Ekiti Central) and Senate Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (Niger North), were present.
The delegation led by Senator Shettima solicited his continued membership of the APC and support for the party in the 2023 general elections.
Recalls The senator representing Adamawa Central, Aishatu Binani, emerged as the governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State.
She polled 430 votes to defeat her closest rival, Nuhu Ribadu, who got 288 votes.
A former governor, Umaru Bindow, scored 103 votes to come in third place in the election.
