Businessman and publisher of Ireland-based journal, The Street Journal Magazine, Mogaji Wole Arisekola has boasted that the All Progressives Congress (APC), Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will record over 15 million votes in the forthcoming 2023 general election in the South West region.
The public affairs analyst made the assertion on Monday, 1 August, in his interaction with some selected media executives after his week-long engagements with local coordinators in Osun, Ogun, and Oyo states in a bid to sensitize them on how to start an active door-to-door campaign for APC and canvass for votes.
He also cautioned those who are following Asiwaju Tinubu up and down that they are not adding any value to his presidential ambition, explaining that the South West stands a better chance of winning the election for Asiwaju and the opportunity shouldn’t be wasted, saying such opportunity may never come again.
“Following Asiwaju Tinubu up and down is what I considered to be an eye service. Politics now is local, and I think our people should learn how to play retail politics in the South West, this will do us good as a region that is politically advantaged at a time like this. I have visited Osun, Ogun, and Oyo to talk to local coordinators and sensitize them on how to start door-to-door campaign and deliver their polling booth for APC come February 2023.
“We should stop the social media show off and go back to our community. Election has never been warned on the pages of newspapers. “
Arisekola noted that Tinubu’s victory is also not limited to the South West but cut across the entire six geopolitical zones of the country.
According to him APC has more lawmakers at the National Assembly, assuring that they would surely work towards Tinubu’s victory.
The media guru stressed that APC members in the National Assembly would not betray Tinubu in 2023.
He insisted that the chances of the APC presidential candidate winning the 2023 presidential election were very high.
According to Arisekola: “Asiwaju has over 75 percent of winning this forthcoming election. And here is the joker, APC is comfortably in charge of 22 states of the federation. The party has the majority in the National and State House of Assembly, these are loyal party men and women that will never betray him.
“In every election, no one can ignore the power of the thumb, it is the magic to herald victory, thus in our beloved country, the importance of PVCs is critical to achieve a huge victory for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Even the South-East, that has never been APC stronghold, on the day of the election, our people there will protect their mandate and I am also confident of victory.”
Arisekola also described Senator Kasim Shettima’s emergence as a perfect electoral material to complement the nationwide acceptability of Asiwaju Tinubu, stressing that his nomination has given a massive boost to the party’s chances of recording landslide victory come 2023.
