A group, ROT Likeminds (RL), says the All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential Candidate for the 2023 general election, Sen. Bola Tinubu, will put the country on the path of progress when elected.
ROT Like Minds is comprised of supporters of Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, representing Kosofe Federal Constituency of Lagos in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
The coordinator of the group, Honourable Jimmy Akinboro, made the assertion at the interfaith special prayers the group organised for the actualisation of Tinubu’s ambition in Lagos on Sunday.
“Nothing changes the fact that Tinubu is a tried and true leader who has touched lives and redefined leadership both inside and outside of politics. We are here to support Bola Tinubu and Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s reelection bids, and we want to tell you that this is not the first time Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye will be organising this type of programme.
“By the grace of God, we have embarked upon this prayer session in honour of our principal and our mentor because he has revealed his ambition to become the president of the country.
“We are his foot soldiers and we are his loyalists. All of us have come together under the banner of this group to organise this Christian and Muslim prayer session.
“We want to hand over all our affairs to God so that He can guide us and grant our request so that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu can be president to continue to do what he knows how to do best, which is develop people and society,” he said.
Speaking, an APC Chieftain in Kosofe Local Government, Mr. Adebajo Adetunji said the prayer session was to pray for him for more wisdom and knowledge and for his aspiration to come to reality.
Adetunji said the prayer was to turn everything over to God because He is the creator and precisely knows from the beginning to the end, so they were committing his ambition to God to see him through the 2023 election.
He said: “So this is why we are organising this special prayer in the Christian and Islamic ways for our able leaders through Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye.
“You can testify from the crowd that you have seen around because the Muslim and Christian communities have prayed for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu’s ambitions.
“This prayer is important because we believed so much in their aspirations and we pulled out from the Holy Bible that where two or more people are gathered, He is there with us.”
Also, one of the party leaders in Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Hon. Kayode Olegbe said the purpose of this prayer was to pray for him to become the next president in the 2023 election.
According to him, Asiwaju has really performed well. If you look at his records when he was the governor of the state, he was the one that created the 37 LCDAs.
Olegbe added that these councils had created several jobs for the people that had been unemployed in the state.
He said Tinubu had built several leaders across the country and elevated so many politicians, and that was why they were also supporting his ambition and advising us to also support our current governor.
Alhaji Imam Hussein Abdulhameed Olowosokedile, Pastor James kayode fabayo, Pastor Obaseki ayodeji joshua of Christ Apostolic Church conducted the special prayer sessions.
Thousands of supporters of Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, attended the programme.
