The Ikosi Isheri first family then invited Kendus, who reportedly got the approval of his principal, Jegede, to honour the invite, and was surprisingly appointed with immediate effect as Personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Lcda, Samiat Bada.
Kendus, upon his unexpected appointment, was called to brief his principal, who was told he was dissatisfied with him working with someone who frustrated their political leader’s interests, among others.
The supporters of the incumbent lawmaker representing Lagos’ Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, to whose camp the duo, Kendus and Jegede, belonged, were alarmed by Kendus’ decision to defect to Bada’s camp at such a critical juncture.
According to a source who asked not to be mentioned, the lawmaker has made his marks and set unmatchable records in the history of Kosofe Federal constituency, which is no cause for alarm.
He stressed that the ROT does not have anything to lose over those switching camps; “The smaller we are, the bigger the benefits.”
The former Ikosi Isheri Lcda Vice Chairman, Mrs. Abiodun Aina Martins, President of Female Councilors in Lagos; Ms. Folashade Akinpelu, Former Councilor; and Hon. Muhammad Hamid, Kendus, among others, are former members of the lawmaker group, who have since joined the council’s chairman camp following the unsuccessful attempts by Rotimi Agunsoye to break the third term jinx as the party nominated Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara, as the candidate for the Kosofe Federal constituency in 2023.
