Ibrahim Mustapha, a former councilor in Kosofe, has survived the All Progressives Congress’s lethal primary election and has finally made the Presidential campaign Council list as a member of the media led by Bayo Odunuga.

The Kosofe Post reported that he was deeply macheted on his forehead on October 4, 2018 during the APC primary election held in the Anthony area of Kosofe.

The gladiators later resolved their differences as a family matter ahead of the 2019 general elections and promised him an appointment after the party victory. However, everything turned out to be an audio statement as kingmakers at the time only get justice forum support for the election.

In 2021, Ibrahim Mustapha was paired with Lanre Carew as Kosofe Local Government Vice Chairman during the chairmanship race.

However, the duo couldn’t get the party ticket as a result of party supremacy in favor of the incumbent chairman, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe.

Also, when the Kosofe Local Vice Chairman position became vacant following the resignation of Honourable Babatunde Saliu to ascend the throne of Oworo, an attempt was made for Mustapha to take the position but was not successful as old favoured Hon. Oluwole Sosanya.

The last attempt reportedly made by Mustapha before he emerged as a member of PCC was the Lagos State Audit Board commission, which favored the widely reported Hon. Musiliu Aigoro, who is yet to be screened by the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, former Ikosi Isheri Lcda Chairman and Co-founder of Bet9ja, Hon. Adekunle Soname, Toyin Balogun, Prince Akintunde Bidemi, Samuel Onakanla, and other prominent politicians from Kosofe are included in PCC’s different committees.
