The internal crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) took a fresh twist this week as joint banners sponsored by Senator Tokunbo Abiru bearing names and photographs of the party candidates, including Kosofe constituency flagbearer, Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara, were marked out and defaced at the party LGA Secretariat along Ogudu.
Early in the week, the massive banner bearing pictures of Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Babajide Sanwoolu, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Sanni Ganiu Babatunde, and Femi Saheed mounted outside the building of the secretariat, were intact.
However, a visit to the APC party secretariat on Friday showed that Ogbara was the candidate whose face was cut out of the joint candidate banners.
The mega banners bearing her pictures and name at some strategic locations across Kosofe in her support were also defaced.
According to Kosofe Post, some aggrieved APC members are said to be behind the big posters and banners attacked in recent times.
Efforts to contact the party’s LGA Chairman, Alhaji Kehinde Belo, were not successful at press time.
