The Kosofe Post reports that the incident that claimed some people lived in the community happened around 18:30 hours on Sunday.
The lawmaker visited the affected community less than 24 hours ago to commiserate with the affected families over the sad development that has left the residents in deep sorrow.
During his visitation, Hon. Femi Saheed advised residents whose houses are close to the river to evacuate their buildings until the state of emergency is lifted in order to avoid such a calamity from occurring again.
He, however, assured the residents that there would be immediate action to reduce subsequent flooding in the area.
