The Chief Executive Officer of Cortexion Construction Company (CCC), Hon. Toyin Balogun, has pleaded with aggrieved members in Kosofe with APC Presidential candidate, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu ahead of the general election.

He made the plea shortly after he paid a call visit to the APC candidate for Kosofe Federal constituency, Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara, on Wednesday.

He said, “She’s the flagbearer of the party in Kosofe, and for me as a stakeholder here, she has reached out to me that she needed my support. I have to pay her a visit since she has confirmed to me that we are one and I am a stakeholder of the party in Lagos State.”

He adds, “And our party is one big family. Although, from the onset, we are not on the same page. I am supporting Hon. Dayo Alebiosu. He’s my preference, Bush, but our party has spoken, the primary election has been held, and she has emerged as the candidate of the party. I don’t have any choice other than to support her. Because that’s the direction the party is heading in.

“She is the one that won the primary election. As at now, it’s the time of reconciliation for every stakeholder in Kosofe.

“As I said earlier, she has reiterated to me that she wants my support to deliver for the party together. That’s what borned out today’s visit, and I pledge my support for her, that I will support her in terms of election campaigns and party activities. We will give her our total support.”

The Honourable Balogun advised the aggrieved members to sheath their swords and work for the party’s total victory in next year’s election.

He noted it’s better to stay in the party and address whatever grievances are not pleased with party leadership by exploiting the party resolution mechanism.

According to him, “For me, I have contested three times in Kosofe; I have contested for the House of Representatives; I didn’t get it. I have contested for the House of Assembly. I didn’t get it, and the last one was the 2021 chairmanship seat, but I still remain in the party, and my loyalty and commitment to the party is unwavering.

“If I was denied or I didn’t get any ticket, that doesn’t mean I should leave the party because I know that I have contributed my quota to the growth and development of the party in Kosofe and the state. The elders of the party and the stakeholders of the party know me very well. So, whatever my grievances, I will always express my displeasure at the party all the time,” he said.

“For all aggrieved members, my own advice to them is that they should come back to the main fold of the party and let us resolve all issues amicably and move on. For example, our leader and role model, of which I am one of his proteges, is on the ballot now. If not because of anybody’s because Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is on the ballot, I believe we should not divide the party now. We should come together and do the needful and work for all APC candidates for them to have a successful election come February 2023,” Hon. Toyin Balogun stated.
