The lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency of Lagos, Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye, has rewarded Goodness Nwachukwu, a Nigerian athlete who won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games, with a cash reward of N200,000.
The lawmaker gave the cash reward to the athlete last Friday at his Magodo Constituency office following her remarkable feat at theThe Commonwealth game will be held in Birmingham on August 20, 2022.
The female athlete is from Ojota in Kosofe Local.The Government Area of the federal constituency set a new world record in women’s discus (F42) with a distance throw of 36.56 m at the game.
The Commonwealth Gold Medalist was accompanied to the constituency office of the lawmaker by Kosofe LGA’s Leader of People Living with Disability, Mr. Owoyele Damilola.
Nwachukwu, while speaking to our correspondent Shortly after the cash gift presentation expressed her profound gratitude to the lawmaker for his kind gesture, saying that humanity, of course, is the lawmaker’s religion,prayed fervently for him in his future endeavors.
