Oba Oladega visits Agboyi Mosque to Mark its 2nd Coronation Anniversary in Lagos

The Olu of Agboyi, Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega, Akinmasa1, visited the Agboyi 1 Central mosque on Friday to mark its second coronation anniversary.

The Chief Imam of Agboyi 1 Central Mosque, Sheik Imam Lawal Surakat, led the thanksgiving and prayer session for the monarch shortly after Jumat prayers. He commended him for promoting unity, peace, and progress among the stakeholders.

Reacting, The monarch, who was accompanied by his wife, Olori Fatimah Oladega, and Christians, Muslims, traditionalists, and title chiefs, among others, was full of praise during Thanksgiving for the various community leaders’ unflinching support and cooperation.

He said, “Today is a day of praise and thanksgiving.”

He appealed to the aggrieved indigenes of the town over his choice as the Oba to shield their swords.

The monarch urged the other stakeholders to put the past behind them and join hands with him to develop the town.

Similarly, the monarch endorsed Alhaji Gafar Tajudeen as Baba Adinni of Agboyi 1 Central Mosque.

The highpoint of his visitation to the mosque was the presentation of an award to the monarch by the Chief Imam of Agboyi 1 Central Mosque and all Alfa in Agboyi 1.
