The supporters of the lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly and the All Progressives Congress candidate for the 2023 election, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde, have tackled the publisher of the Kosofe Reporter, Olusegun Apena, over his U-turn on the lawmaker’s representation.

The publisher, who allegedly is no longer aligned with the lawmaker, has been the subject of discussions among political gladiators for the past several reports he published projecting the lawmaker’s representation.

In one of the reports at the time, Apena described Okanlawon as one of the five brightest minds in the Lagos House of Assembly, perfectly combining political astuteness with scholastic brilliance.

Another interview titled “Diya Street: OKLA Charges Corporate Organizations at Ifako to Exercise Social Responsibility” was published in response to Kosofe Post (KP) viral reports. On the deplorable condition of roads across Kosofe, the claims made in the lawmaker interview have now been disputed by the publisher.

In response to the lawmaker’s claims that he facilitated Diya Street construction, Apena said, “The construction of Saint Finbarr Road down to Diya Street was purely a state government project not influenced by any representative.” “Get it right.”

The publisher, who also published the one-year achievements of the lawmaker through his blog, said the story is self-explanatory, described those resharing the link to blackmail him as being mischievous.

Reacting, I said, “I think the write-up is self-explanatory, except you want to be mischievous. The news story was based on his account of stewardship posted on his Facebook page, not my personal opinion. “Simple as ABC.”

The lawmaker’s loyalists have called the integrity of the publisher into question, saying he was quick to forget the good things he said about the Kosofe Constituency 1 Representative.

Oloye Seun Salami described him as a “poison pen writer” who has forgotten every good thing he has said about the distinguished lawmaker because of his stomach.

According to the KP’s findings, Apena, who was accused of supporting the Social Democratic Party candidate, Carew Lanre, came under attacks for not supporting the All Progressives Congress candidate for Kosofe Constituency 1 and Okanlawon for the state constituency race.
