The Kosofe Islamic-based group Al-Mu’minaat, whose members were involved in a fire accident that happened a few meters away from Odogbolu junction along the Sagamu-Benin expressway, urgently needs financial assistance.
The bus marked AGL 886 YD suddenly exploded with flames from the engine side.
In our investigation, they were going for a four-day training program, tagged “Al-Mu’minaat Training Forum” (ATF), at Vanguard Academy, Odosengolu, near Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, which was organized by the national body Al-Mu’minaat (The Believing Women) Organization.
Seven people lost their lives, while 10 are currently receiving treatment at different hospitals, including Gbagada General Hospital and the National Orthopaedic Hospital.
While reacting, the publisher of Kosofe Post, Bilesanmi Abayomi, thanked various stakeholders across Kosofe, Lagos State, and Nigeria that had commiserated with the organization.
He, however, appealed for financial assistance from well-meaning individuals and the government for the bereaved family and victims recuperating at various hospitals.
