Some members of the Kosofe Chapter of the All Progressives Congress who pride themselves on being Democrats and ambassadors of good governance have turned the controversial sales of the Oworonshoki joint CDA vehicle into politics as they trade words.
The Kosofe Post reports that Kosofe Community Development Committee Chairman, Hon. Segun Babatunde, and others allegedly sold a vehicle the government donated to the community without authorization.
The development led to his recent two appearances at Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos.

According to Kosofe Post sources, a lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Honorable Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, intervened and temporarily halted the detention and arraignment of the accused persons as he promised to donate another vehicle to the affected community.
However, the outcomes of Babatunde’s second visit to Zone 2 have generated an exchange of words among the APC members, while the residents have shown no interest in getting involved in the drama.
The supporters of Lawmaker Okanlawon, who stood as guarantors for the accused persons in their tens, have continued to attack a reporter from Kosofe Reporters, Segun Apena, who exposed the over 2-month-old investigated vehicle gate.
A supporter named Seun Salami posted: “Kosofe Reporter is still in severe pain and restless over the peaceful resolution of the Oworonsoki CDA vehicle disposal; hence, Kosofe Reporter remains a channel of media propaganda and fake news carrier 1 platform./Anyone who trusts any news coming from KR does so at his or her peril.
“The joint CDA treasurer, Chief Chief Omowo, is also culpable of the crime because he collected his share of the said vehicle sale proceeds.”
In another post, he said, “Kosofe Reporter is well known in the Kosofe federal constituency to be an incredible and unreliable media platform in terms of information dissemination with records of propaganda antecedent. Hon. Okanlawon Sanni, popularly known within the political and social circles as “Okla,” settled the matter amicably yesterday and promised to donate a befitting vehicle for the Oworonsoki community in his capacity as a responsive representative of the people and humanitarian gesture to lay the impasse to eternal rest. There is no evidence of truth in the news about the commencement of prosecution in April.
“Please, all the patriotic residents of Kosofe and beyond should ignore the news, most importantly as the news is coming from a Kosofe reporter with the antecedent of deflective integrity and a certified propagandist media platform,” Seun Salami said.
Another supporter, Adetutu Uthman, accused the reporter of being paid to expose the crime by an unnamed master.
She said, “Bobo Apena, or whatever you call yourself, why are you disturbing yourself?” I know you are doing what you paid for, but remember: Oruko Rere Osan ju wura Ati Fadaka. Trust me, whoever paid you to spoil Hon Okla’s name for the election will leave you and run after the election. “Ibukun ni fun Omo Odo Na Tofi Ogbon Se.”
Reacting, Apena said it’s a truth that can heal the decomposing conscience of the lawmakers’ supporters who aid and abet crime and their naysayers’ cohorts.
He posted, “Conscience is an open wound that only truth can heal,” says the Great Jihadist, Uthman Dan Fodio. It is only the balm of truth that can heal the decomposing consciences of you and your naysaying cohorts.
“In your own corrupt, badly twisted conscience and imagination, the criminal case against the venal, rapacious members of your circle is settled with the intervention of your paymaster?
“No. You are totally wrong. If you continue to pull my leg over this issue of brazen violation of public trust, I may go sinister with the matter and take it beyond the reach of your boss and the community.
“With the level of concrete, overwhelming evidence against the culprits, who told you the matter cannot be handed over to the ICPC to prosecute? It will only take me less than an hour to prepare the petition and evidence.
“I laugh at your folly and your idiocy over this issue. It clearly shows that you lack integrity for celebrating the exploits of your paymaster and preventing a group of people who had openly admitted stealing public property from being prosecuted. Where is your sense of decency? Where is your morality? “Why are you this shameless?” he asked.
Continuing, he stated, “Look, it is only in the figment of your filthy imagination that the criminal matter has been buried, not before the people of integrity. I even wondered how a person of very low intelligence and mentality like you was made the spokesperson for a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly. It is a vivid indication of the degenerate level of your political circle.”
Following the unnecessary attacks on him after the matter is almost settled out of Zone 2 Police Command, he has vowed to present facts through higher authority.
He said, “Your attitude and unintelligent riposte to my stories will only make you succeed in sending your political ally to jail.”
He said, “No amount of your blackmail and propaganda will stop me from presenting the facts as they are./You and fellow shameless naysayers can continue to bray and wail over my stories; I won’t budge a bit as long as what I published is the fact,” Apena declared.
