A group of Kosofe Youth, in the early hours of Saturday, defied a heavy downpour as they hit Ikorodu Highways to canvass support for the All Progressives Congress in Lagos.

The Kosofe Post previously reported that different individuals and groups have organized walk-in, street-corner, and door-to-door campaigns to endear APC candidates to the electorate ahead of next month’s election.

The youth group commenced the walk from the Maryland area of Kosofe Local Government through Ikorodu Highways and terminated at Peace Park, Ketu, around the same council areas.

The thousands of youths that participated in the exercise canvassed votes for All Progressives Congress candidates included the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru; and Kosofe Federal Constituency, Kafilat Ogbara.

Others include the re-election of Babajide Sanwoolu as Governor of Lagos State, Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde as a member of the House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency 1, and Femi Saheed for Kosofe Constituency 2, among others.

The road walk held amid tight security was peaceful without political thugs’ interference.

It should be noted that the Kosofe Post reports that the PDP’s recent rally across Kosofe was disrupted by allegedly sponsored political thugs.
