Kosofe elect first female House of Representatives member

Kosofe Federal Constituency area of Lagos has elected the First Female House of Representatives member during 2023 Presidential and National Assembly.

The Electoral commission, INEC, has formally declared Kafilat Adetola Ogbara
of the All Progressives congress (APC) as the winner of the Kosofe Federal Constituency election held Kosofe, Lagos Nation on Saturday.

The INEC Chief Returning Officer for Osun, Prof. Lukman A. Adams, who announced the result on early Monday morning said the APC candidate scored 45,111 votes to emerge victorious.

The runner-up Florence Adepegba of the People’s Democratic party polled 28,964 votes. While candidate Abdulwaheed Odunuga of the New Nigeria People’s Democratic scored 4152 votes to maintained third position.

This is a GREAT lesson to the PDP and it’s entrenched lackluster leadership, whose interest and stock-in-trade, always, are to empower, embolden and encourage the less competent members through all kinds of antics while deriding, demobilizing and ‘dis-membering’ personnel of great quality. . .
