As the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections draw closer, the SDP candidate for Lagos State House of Assembly, Kosofe Constituency I, Lanre Carew, has urged the electorate and party faithful in Kosofe to debunk the alleged rumors of the party collapsing its structure for the ruling APC.
In a statement issued by Amusu Adedamola (Damoche), the Secretary of the Lanre Carew Campaign Movement in Lagos on Wednesday, Carew debunked the allegation and said that the state party had emphatically denied any deal with APC, adding that he was still very much in the race for the forthcoming Gubernatorial and House of Assembly Elections.
“Our attention has been drawn to misleading information being circulated on social media by naysayers loyal to Hon. Sanni Okanlawon of the APC for Kosofe Constituency 1, that the party structure of SDP has been collapsed at all levels for APC. This we debunk and state emphatically that no such deal was reached with anyone, as the winning and people’s candidate of the SDP for Lagos State House of Assembly election in Kosofe Constituency 1, Olanrewaju Carew, is still very much in the race.”
Carew called on supporters and residents of Kosofe Constituency 1 to disregard the statement being peddled by the merchant of lies as there is no modicum of truth in it. He urged the electorate to come out en masse on election day and cast their votes for the SDP candidate for Lagos State House of Assembly, assuring them that no electorate would regret voting for the SDP.
“With the foregoing statement, we urge the good people of Kosofe Constituency 1 to come out en masse and vote for Hon. Lanre Carew for Lagos State House of Assembly Kosofe Constituency 1, on March 18,” he said.
