A pioneer member of the All Progressives Congress in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Kosofe, Otunba Deinde Shonibare, has congratulated Kosofe’s lawmakers-elect, Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon and Hon. Femi Saheed, for their victory at last Saturday’s House of Assembly polls held across the country.
In a statement made to our Kosofe Post correspondent on Monday, Otunba Deinde Shonibare expressed his joy over the victory of the APC candidates and charged them to bring life-impacting policy programs and projects to tackle social and economic challenges in the state during their tenure.
He also congratulated members of the APC Governing Advisory Council in Kosofe for the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and thanked Lagosians for voting overwhelmingly for continuity.
Otunba Deinde Shonibare further prayed that Governor Sanwoolu’s second coming will bring more blessings and prosperity to Lagos State.
The APC candidate, Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon, won the House of Assembly seat for Kosofe Constituency 1, while Hon. Femi Saheed won the seat for Kosofe Constituency 2. Hours after the official announcement of their victory, Otunba Deinde Shonibare and his associates were seen jubilating over the success of the APC candidates.
The victory of the APC candidates has been received with joy and celebration across Kosofe, and residents are looking forward to the new administration’s policies and programs, which they believe will bring more development to the local government and the state at large.
