Following the ongoing investigation of anti-party activities by the Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and other members regardless of their position in the party and political appointment in the country, a self-acclaimed social critique and community developer, Seun Salami has called for the suspension of some All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Kosofe Federal Constituency over anti-party activities in just concluded general elections.
In a short statement obtained by the Kosofe Post, Salami urged the Kosofe APC to suspend all the principal actors and internal saboteurs within the party that worked for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Labour Party during the just concluded general elections to instill discipline in the party now.
Salami, who is known for raising alarm over threats to his life and incessant attacks against APC members who did not align with the Governor Advisory Council (GAC) leaders’ position in Kosofe Politics, vowed to release the compiled list of the alleged APC members involved in anti-party activities later that day.
“I will release the comprehensive list of the internal saboteurs and the principal actors in APC that were involved in the anti-party activities today,” Salami said.
He warned that any delay in sanctioning the erring members would be dangerous for the party.
However, many believe that Salami’s call for the suspension of the APC members may be politically motivated and sponsored by unknown individuals for their best-known reasons. The situation has sparked reactions from various political stakeholders in the constituency, and the APC leadership in the area is yet to make any official statement on the matter.
