The Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and former Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, hosted an iftar at his residential Magodo, Kosofe, Lagos.
The event was attended by political, traditional, and religious leaders, as well as prominent and ordinary citizens.
During the event, the guests commended Senator Ashafa for his philanthropy and humanity to mankind. They described his actions as second to none, and noted that he shares the same ideology with President-elect Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu, who is known for building people and empowering them unconditionally.
In his address, the clergymen commended Senator Ashafa’s parents for his upbringing and urged other parents to sew good seeds into their children for a better future. He emphasized the importance of the principle of sowing and reaping, which applies to virtually every aspect of life.
As part of the event, Senator Ashafa distributed food items, clothes, and cash gifts to the guests that graced the occasion. He also donated the sum of N1 million to the new executives of the Agboyi Students Union (ASU) to support indigenous students.
Senator Ashafa has made it a tradition to use some days of the Ramadan to host political, traditional, and religious leaders, as well as other prominent and ordinary citizens to Ramadan breakfast at his Magodo residence. This is in line with his commitment to serving the people and giving back to the community.
