Dropped high-tension transmission line obstructs pedestrian traffic in Ojota, residents call for immediate action

Residents of Ojota area in Kosofe Local Government have raised an alarm over a high-tension transmission line that has been dropped and obstructing pedestrian traffic in Madrasa Area of Gida-npali.

Sulaimon Mojeed, a concerned resident, called the attention of the Kosofe Post to the potential danger the situation poses to lives and properties in the community. He urged the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) to take immediate action to rectify the situation and ensure the safety of residents.

The dropped high-tension transmission line has caused a significant disruption to pedestrian traffic, and residents fear that it could lead to accidents and fatalities if not promptly addressed.

Efforts to reach Mr. Akinola Ayeni, Community and Media Relations Manager of IKEDC, for comments on the issue have been unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report. Residents are calling on the company to act urgently to rectify the situation and ensure the safety of the community.
