Hon. Ibrahim Mustapha, a prominent figure in the Kosofe All Progressives Congress and former Supervisor in Kosofe Local Government, has chosen to remain tight-lipped in the face of allegations of cattle rustling leveled against him. According to a viral report, Mustapha, who also served as a Former Councilor, is accused of collaborating with staff members of Baba Bush to steal cows from Chief Alebiosu’s cattle ranch in the Anthony area of Kosofe Local Government.

The scandal came to light when “Agama,” the young man responsible for the ranch, was detained for over 24 hours at Anthony Police Station on Baba Bush’s orders. Today, on June 26, 2023, Agama broke his silence and implicated Ibrahim Mustapha in the perplexing disappearance of more than 30 cows out of the 50 present on the ranch.

The clandestine arrangement between Mustapha and Agama reportedly unraveled when Baba Bush decided to visit his ranch yesterday to take stock of his livestock. Shockingly, he discovered that 33 cows were missing. Acting swiftly, Baba Bush ordered the immediate arrest of Agama, who had been introduced to him by Ibrahim Mustapha for employment at the ranch, according to the report.

Another report suggests that the hired individuals responsible for transporting the bulls to Ijebu Ode, Ogun State on Sunday were involved in rustling livestock from the Bush ranch. Due to the long traffic and exhaustion, some bulls perished during transit. Furthermore, the ranch owner failed to settle the transportation fees, leading to additional losses for the hired vehicle’s owner.

In a bid to secure Mustapha’s release, prominent personalities such as Hon. Sanni Okanlawon Ganiu, the representative for Kosofe constituency 1, and the Baale of Anthony village, rallied together to persuade Otunba, who facilitated the release.

When contacted by Kosofe Post for a statement regarding the allegations, Hon. Ibrahim Mustapha declined to comment at the time of filing this report. The silence from the APC chieftain has only intensified speculation and curiosity surrounding the accusations of cattle rustling leveled against him.
