In a recent interview with Kosofe Post, Hon. Ibrahim, the former Councilor representing Anthony village area of Kosofe Local Government, has broken his silence over the allegations of cattle rustling that have been circulating.
Speaking at Anthony village on Tuesday, Hon. Ibrahim addressed the viral reports, stating that he was not aware of them initially as he was not on those platforms. He mentioned that the news was likely spread by certain individuals or groups such as Kosofe Agenda and Kosofe Reporters. When he finally came across the reports, he found them amusing and dismissed them.
Hon. Ibrahim clarified that the allegations were baseless, emphasizing that Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, popularly known as Baba Bush, would never attempt to use the police to arrest him. He revealed that he had arranged for someone to take care of Baba Bush’s cows, but unfortunately, the person had mishandled the responsibility and was subsequently arrested. As a result, Hon. Ibrahim had to appear at the police station to confirm his association with the individual and his connection to Otunba Bush.
Expressing his frustrations with the ongoing rumors, Hon. Ibrahim recognized the actions of those behind the stories as mischief-making aimed at destabilizing him and Otunba Bush. He vowed to uncover the culprits responsible for spreading these false allegations, acknowledging that politics often leads to such attempts to tarnish reputations. He remained steadfast in his loyalty to the Alebiosu political dynasty, stating that he has unwavering faith in their leadership.
Furthermore, Hon. Ibrahim responded to a section of the report insinuating his chairmanship ambitions. Mustapha called out those trying to pit him against the preferred candidate of the party’s leadership and members, Hon. Moyo Ogunlewe, stating that if anyone is interested in contesting the council chairman position, they should come forward instead of resorting to cheap blackmail. He remained unperturbed by such tactics and asserted his readiness to face any opposition, regardless of the party they align with.
