The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, inaugurated the EFCC Integrity Club in Crescent Schools, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Club, the Acting Chairman of EFCC, Abdulkarim Chukkol, urged the students to become anti-corruption ambassadors.

Chukkol charged them to uphold the core values of the Club, which are integrity, honesty, discipline, responsibility and patriotism.

“As students and leaders of tomorrow, you need to have a deeper understanding of the havoc being wreaked on our nation by the monster of corruption,” he said.

He further charged the students to “channel your time and creative energies into useful engagements and not into dishonest and dubious means of cheating others of their resources”.

In his remarks, the principal, Ustadh AbdulGaniyy Mahmud, expressed his gratitude to the EFCC for inaugurating the Club in the school.

“We are ready to partner with the EFCC in the fight against economic and financial crimes, and we are glad that the Integrity Club has now been added to the clubs in the school,” he said.

He gave the assurance that the school management will ensure that the Integrity Club achieves the purpose for which it was inaugurated by the EFCC.

“Our relationship with the EFCC will be a partnership without regrets and our students will also be change agents in making Nigeria a great Nation,” he said.

A total of 120 students took the oath of service alongside the executives of the Integrity Club.
