The Lagos East Senatorial District residents, political class, and associates came together to celebrate the 68th birthday anniversary of the accomplished Nigerian politician, Senator Gbenga Bareehu Ashafa, on July 22nd. The joyous occasion was marked with warm congratulatory messages, acknowledging his remarkable achievements and dedication to public service.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message issued on Saturday, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, and his wife, Mrs. Feyisola Abiru, extended their warm greetings to the celebrant. Senator Abiru praised Senator Gbenga Ashafa’s outstanding contributions throughout his career, from rising to become a Permanent Secretary to his exemplary leadership as a distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and currently as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Housing Authority of Nigeria.
“Since I took up this assignment to serve our people,” Senator Abiru said, “he has been a source of unwavering support.” The celebration was a display of unity, as friends, associates, and numerous well-wishers gathered to wish Senator Gbenga Ashafa continued sound health and happiness as he ages gracefully.
Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, representing Kosofe Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, also joined in rejoicing with the accomplished politician on his 68th birthday. Hon. Okanlawon acknowledged Senator Ashafa’s significant influence on legislation that has positively impacted the nation’s development, making his two terms as a Senator noteworthy.
Former Kosofe Local Government Vice Chairman, K K ELESHIN ESQ, added to the chorus of well-wishers, praising Senator Gbenga Ashafa as a great leader, philanthropist, and consistent giver. In his statement, Barrister Kazeem Eleshin commended Senator Ashafa’s dedication to public service, describing him as a man of rare and humane character.
The celebration of Senator Gbenga Ashafa’s birthday extended beyond individuals and groups.
