The Director General of the Manufacturing Association of Nigeria (MAN), Mr. Segun Ajayi-Kadir, accompanied by other executives of the organization, recently embarked on a visit to the expansive factory of H&Y Furniture Manufacturers in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
H&Y Furniture Manufacturers, led by Mrs. Feyisola Abiru, is a dynamic and innovative company renowned for its expertise in designing, producing, and installing high-quality furniture solutions. With a legacy dating back to 1997, the company has earned a stellar reputation for its modular manufacturing processes, which prioritize precision, efficiency, and consistent quality. H&Y caters to diverse sectors, including corporate offices, educational institutions, hospitality spaces, and residential areas, offering customizable, durable, and aesthetically pleasing furniture solutions.

During the tour of the factory, the MAN executives were guided by Mrs. Abiru and her management team, who showcased the company’s advanced production capacity. The executives were impressed by the high-capacity machines used in wood processing for furniture making. H&Y also operates an in-house academy that provides opportunities for young individuals to enhance their skills in wood furniture production.
Mr. Olumide Owolabi, H&Y Factory Manager, emphasized that the company possesses the capability to produce world-class furniture to meet the needs of diverse clients across Nigeria. He noted that the company has significantly increased its production output to address the growing demands of customers.
Mr. Segun Ajayi-Kabir, Director General of MAN, expressed his admiration for the company’s forward-thinking approach, particularly its investment in young talent. He also lauded H&Y’s innovative products that have the potential to revolutionize the furniture industry in Nigeria. Mr. Ajayi-Kabir commended the modern machinery and the dedicated and enthusiastic workforce at the factory.
Looking ahead to the future, Mr. Ajayi-Kabir emphasized the importance of expanding operations, especially considering the opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement, which opens doors to a market of over 1.4 billion people. He expressed confidence that H&Y Furniture Manufacturers has the capacity to become a leading company in Nigeria and excel on the African continent.
