Hon. Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, has commended Lagos State’s basic education reform program, aligning it with the T.H.E.M.E agenda of the Lagos State Governor. His commendation came during a series of working visits to public primary schools in the Kosofe region to evaluate the quality of educational facilities.
These visits provided an opportunity for the Council’s Chairman to assess the state of facilities in the local primary schools and engage with students and teachers.
Accompanied by executive members, council engineers, and officials from the Department of Education and Library Services, Ogunlewe acknowledged that the “Educare” program is establishing a robust foundation for the educational system in the state.
“Primary education is the cornerstone of every educational system, and if we establish a strong foundation at this level, there is no limit to what we can achieve,” Ogunlewe stated.
He expressed his commitment to leaving a lasting legacy of quality education in Kosofe Local Government, one that would make the community proud. Ogunlewe emphasized the local government’s dedication to delivering high-quality services, ensuring that all learners, regardless of their backgrounds, receive a sound education in a conducive environment equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
Ogunlewe pointed to his administration’s achievements in the two years he has been in office, highlighting the support provided to various students. These include distributing 775 free GCE forms and 1,300 free JAMB forms to assist students in their academic pursuits.
During the working visits to several schools under the Kosofe Local Government Education Authority, the Chairman and his team assessed the educational infrastructure and interacted with students and educators. The schools visited included:
