Honourable Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, the esteemed member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government Administration and Community Affairs, has dedicated the recent judgment from the Court of Appeal to the Almighty God and the residents of Kosofe Constituency 01. The verdict effectively puts an end to the legal dispute surrounding his well-deserved election victory.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Hon. Okanlawon expressed profound gratitude to God and the people of Kosofe Constituency 01, pledging to continue providing quality representation at the Lagos Assembly. He assured constituents of his commitment to delivering more infrastructural projects, empowerment initiatives, and employment opportunities for the youth in the constituency.
“Dear constituents, it has been a successful conclusion to the electoral process that we began on March 18, 2023, to elect me to represent you in the Lagos State House of Assembly. All praise be to God,” Hon. Okanlawon remarked.
The Court of Appeal’s ruling on Saturday, November 11, 2023, upheld Hon. Okanlawon’s mandate as the duly elected and honourable member to represent Kosofe 01 in the 10th Lagos Assembly. He emphasized that the triumph was a result of the collective will of the people, democracy, and the adherence to the rule of law.
Hon. Okanlawon extended his gratitude to the leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kosofe Chapter, Okla Coordinators, and Okla Babes for their unwavering support throughout the legal process. He also singled out his political leaders in Kosofe 01, expressing sincere thanks to Otunba Busura Alebiosu and Pa Omooba Olumuyiwa Sosanya for their guidance and steadfast support.
