Chairman Ogunlewe Pledges Transformative 2024 Budget

The Executive Chairman Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe Esq, has affirmed a commitment to translate the outcomes of the recent two-day budget retreat into tangible results for Kosofe Local Government. The retreat, held at Novatel Hotels, Lekki, centered around the theme “Budget of Public Growth and Development.”

Ogunlewe, addressing key officials, emphasized the need for a realistic and sustainable budget estimate for the upcoming fiscal year, with a focus on essential services and infrastructural development. He stated, “Kosofe must be one of the leading Local Governments in Lagos State in terms of quality service delivery.”

The Chairman’s priorities for 2024 include healthcare services, education, and road construction, underscoring the administration’s commitment to continuous infrastructure upgrading. Ogunlewe expressed gratitude for the Council’s achievements, promising more purposeful and people-centered projects in the coming year.

The Head of Administration, Mr. Ola Olanrewaju, stressed the importance of a robust and realistic 2024 budget, ensuring residents enjoy increased dividends of democracy. Facilitator Adeniyi Adeleke commended Ogunlewe for service delivery, urging technocrats to prioritize efficiency, professionalism, and transparency.

The Head of the Department of Budget Planning and Statistics, Mrs. Adesina A.O., thanked participants for their positive contributions, highlighting the collaborative effort in preparing the Year 2024 budget estimate. The retreat saw the presence of Vice Chairman Hon. Oluwole Sosanya, Secretary to the Local Government Hon. Fatai Gbadebo, Chief of Staff Mr. Akinyemi Abiona, Council Treasurer Mr. Ojikutu, HOD Budget Mrs. Adesina A.O., executive members, SSA’s, CDA chairman, SSA on Community Affairs, and management representatives.
