HRM Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega Akinmasa 1, the Olu of Agboyi Kingdom, warmly welcomed the Captain of the Lagos State wheelchair basketball team, Prince Owoyele Damilola Michael.
In a statement released on Wednesday from the revered Iga Olu Agboyi, it was revealed that Prince Owoyele, a scion of the Owoyele and AKINMASA Family of Agboyi 1, paid a respectful homage to the royal palace. The visit comes on the heels of his team’s remarkable silverware achievement at the recent basketball festival in Abuja.
As a prominent leader in the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) community in Kosofe LGA, Owoyele sought the blessings of HRM Oba Engr Monsuru Abimbola Oladega for continued success in his basketball career. The Olu, acknowledging their achievements despite challenges, generously bestowed a cash prize upon him.
In response, Olu Agboyi urged other stakeholders to rally behind and support the people with disabilities in their communities, recognizing their outstanding accomplishments and positive impact.
