As the smoke billowed and flames danced, the cause of the fire remained a mystery, leaving residents grappling with uncertainty and fear. According to numerous accounts from locals who reached out to Kosofe Post, the source of the inferno remains undetermined, adding to the urgency for improved firefighting infrastructure.
This latest incident has reignited the longstanding plea from residents for the state government, led by Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, to finalize the dormant project and make it operational. With lives and properties at stake, the need for swift action has never been more apparent.
Recollections of promises made over two years ago by the Lagos State Government to bolster fire response capabilities in Kosofe and neighboring communities echo through the charred streets.
