Recent developments within the Tinubu Mandate Movement Kosofe Chapter have exposed simmering tensions among members of this political group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), as discreet meetings convened by different factions hint at underlying discord.

According to reports, the resurgence of the initially banned group, led by the National Chairman of the Mandate Movement, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, alongside Kosofe stakeholders, has ignited reactions among APC leaders, fueling intra-party bickering.

Prior to the recent revelations of the new APC mandate stakeholders in Kosofe, a faction led by the immediate past member of the National Assembly representing Kosofe Federal constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, had been clandestinely holding group meetings across the Kosofe Federal constituency for over a year, despite the ban.

In response to the resurgence of the Mandate Movement, the lawmaker faction, through its Chairman Comrade Kazeem Opeodu, has announced an LGA meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2024, at ROT Constituency Office, 8 Kujore Street, Ojota, Kosofe.

As divisions within the APC mandate group become more apparent, the Justice Forum group, known for its non-aggressive mobilization tactics, appears content with the initial status quo where all groups remained banned, with the aim of promoting unity, harmony, and progress among APC members.
