The absence of former two-term senator and Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Senator Olorunimbe Mamora, from the APC strategic stakeholders meeting has sparked controversy and raised questions about the inclusivity of the party’s decision-making process.
Sources at the ongoing meeting, conveyed by Kosofe APC Chieftain Otunba Bushira Alebiosu at CMD Magodo Kosofe, revealed that Senator Mamora was not present because he had not been formally invited. This revelation comes amidst a gathering attended by prominent party members including Omoba Ademuyiwa Sosanya, State Assembly members, board members, Local Government Chairmen, councilors, and current and former State and Kosofe party executives.
In addition to Senator Mamora’s absence, former lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, was also conspicuously missing from the meeting. Efforts to reach both Senator Mamora and Hon. Agunsoye for comments regarding their absence remain unanswered, fueling speculation about their whereabouts and reasons for not attending the crucial gathering.
Furthermore, the absence of Honourable Kafilat Ogbara , representing Kosofe Federal Constituency 1 at the Lagos National Assembly , has raised eyebrows, particularly amidst reports of her involvement in leading the resurgence of the Mandate Movement of Nigeria Kosofe Chapter. While her State counterpart from Kosofe Constituency 2, Hon. Femi Saheed, and Kosofe Constieuncy 1 Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon was spotted at the high table, Ogbara’s absence seems to have stirred mistrust among party leaders.
