The kingdom of Agboyi came alive to commemorate the 60th birthday of its esteemed ruler, His Royal Majesty Oba Engr. Monsuru Abimbola Oladega. The jubilant occasion, hosted at the magnificent marquee hall, bore witness to the enduring legacy and esteemed leadership of Oba Oladega.

Dignitaries from across the nation graced the ceremony, including government officials, traditional rulers, and esteemed guests, converging to honor the monarch’s milestone. The banquet hall, bedecked in the kingdom’s resplendent colors, buzzed with anticipation as attendees exchanged warm greetings and shared in the festivities.

Addressing the gathered assembly, Oba Oladega expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming show of love and support. Reflecting on six decades of life, he underscored the paramount importance of unity, progress, and community development in his heartfelt remarks.

The evening unfolded with captivating performances, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the kingdom. Traditional dancers, drummers, and musicians transported the audience to a bygone era of splendor and grandeur, enthralling all present.

Oba Oladega’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of his subjects garnered widespread acclaim, with Adams Disu, The Ajaiye of Agboyi kingdom, lauding the monarch’s selflessness and dedication to their comfort.

Prince Adewale Seriki, Odofin eru jeje and Opo ilu of Agboyi Kingdom, hailed Oba Oladega’s transformative initiatives, citing advancements in infrastructure such as the newly constructed bridge linking Agboyi mainland to Agboyi Island, and the ongoing construction of a maternity ward, as testament to the monarch’s visionary leadership.

High-profile figures including Olofin of Isheri, Oba Sulaiman, Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, and Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mrs Orelope Adefulire, joined in commending Oba Oladega’s peaceful reign, humility, and developmental strides, while offering prayers for continued prosperity and longevity on the throne.

As prayers and well-wishes reverberated throughout the kingdom, Agboyi looked towards the future with renewed optimism, guided by the exemplary leadership of Oba Engr. Monsuru Abimbola Oladega. May his reign continue to inspire and uplift generations to come.

Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mrs Orelope Adefulire, APC Lagos State Chairman Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, Agboyi Ketu LCDA Chairman Mayor Dele Oshinowo, Kosofe Rep Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, Hon.
