Senators Abiru, Eshinlokun, Adebule Pay Courtesy Visit to First Lady, Pledge Commitment to Economic, Security Reforms

Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, along with distinguished Senators Wasiu Eshinlokun and Idiat Oluranti Adebule, led a delegation from Lagos State in a courtesy visit to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

As Chairman of the Southern Senators’ Forum, Senator Abiru addressed journalists, reaffirming the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to implementing reforms aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s economic stability and long-term prosperity. He attributed current economic challenges to past policy decisions, which the current government is diligently working to rectify.

In response, the First Lady emphasized the importance of legislative action in addressing security concerns and urged lawmakers to prioritize the enactment of relevant laws to combat crime effectively. She called for patience and support from Nigerians as the President endeavors to steer the nation towards sustainable growth and development.

“The administration of President Bola Tinubu is resolute in leaving a legacy for future generations, requiring significant sacrifices and unwavering determination,” Senator Tinubu remarked.

Senator Abiru echoed the commitment of the Senate to prioritize legislation that directly impacts the lives of Nigerians, particularly in areas concerning the economy and security. He expressed optimism that with concerted efforts, Nigeria will soon emerge as an economic powerhouse.
