Amidst controversy surrounding the recent distribution of official vehicles to non-government and government functionaries in the Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area of Kosofe, Chairmanship aspirant Prince Bidemi Akintunde-stainless has called upon the council Chairman, Samiat Bada to ensure the judicious utilization of public funds and to avoid politicizing official vehicles presentation to council staff.
Prince Bidemi Akintunde-stainless emphasized the importance of utilizing public funds for the benefit of the people and urged stakeholders not to be deceived by delayed distribution of dividends until campaign periods. He stressed that it is the right of the people to benefit from the responsible management of taxpayers’ money.
In response, an aide of the Council Chairman highlighted sectorial achievements of Samiat Bada to justify the judicious utilization of government funds. However, the response remained silent on the cost of executing and implementing the highlighted policies, programs, and projects, raising questions about transparency and accountability.
