Monthly Performance Rankings: Lagos Local Councils Navigate the Road to Improvement

In the latest release of the monthly performance rankings by Lagos Reporters, a notable shift in standings has been observed among the 57 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos State.

Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, previously hailed as the best-performing Chairman, has relinquished its top spot to Lagos Island East. Meanwhile, Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area has made significant strides, moving from the 46th position to the 36th position in the rankings for April.

Kosofe Local Government Chairman has demonstrated consistency by maintaining a position within the top 10 for two consecutive months.

The ranking process, meticulously conducted with data gathered by field agents and volunteer teams, encompasses various key performance indicators spanning critical sectors such as Health, Education, Infrastructure, Job Creation, and Youth Empowerment. Additionally, resident feedback plays a pivotal role in the assessment, reflecting the community’s perception of the quality of services rendered.

The objective of these rankings is to provide a comprehensive overview of each locality’s performance, fostering transparency, and accountability within local administrations. By monitoring progress and encouraging continuous improvement, the initiative aims to elevate living standards and promote inclusive development across Lagos State.
