The Lagos State Government inaugurated a state-of-the-art, one-storey building with 10 fully equipped classrooms at Mosafejo Primary School in Oworonsoki, Kosofe Local Government Area on Thursday. The classroom was built by the local government chairman, Moyo Ogunlewe.
This grand opening, officiated by Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Ekundayo Alebiosu, marked the third anniversary of the current administration. Alebiosu praised the local chairman for his attentive leadership and commitment to addressing community needs.
“I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t impressed with the chairman’s efforts,” Alebiosu said. “He has achieved so much in education, infrastructure, and youth engagement. His work is truly commendable.”
The new building is seen not just as an educational facility but as an investment in the future of the community. Alebiosu emphasized the importance of education as a critical tool for negotiation and progress in society, urging the school management to maintain the facility well.
Chairman Ogunlewe highlighted the broader impact of the new classrooms, stressing their role in shaping the future leaders of Kosofe. “We are not just inaugurating a structure; we are opening doors to countless opportunities for our children,” he said. “These classrooms are incubators of dreams and launching pads for future innovators.”

The facility includes modern educational tools and comfortable furniture, with 100 large and 100 small desks and benches provided to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Babatunde Shoneye, Executive Secretary of the Local Government Education Area in Kosofe, expressed gratitude to the chairman, predicting an increase in school enrollment due to the new, attractive facility. He also emphasized the importance of safeguarding the classrooms against vandalism.
