Mayor Dele Oshinowo of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area has issued a stern warning to local cult groups. Speaking at the Stakeholders Engagement on Peace and Security Issues on Monday, Oshinowo declared that his administration will take decisive action against cult groups such as ‘Eye’ and ‘Ake,’ if they do not leave the area.

Oshinowo emphasized the need for community cooperation in combating crime, urging parents and youths to report criminal activities. “Our parents and our youths must wake up and report criminals. We cannot do it alone without your support,” he stated. He warned that those involved in cultism should “stay away” or face severe consequences, including arrest and prosecution.

The chairman criticized some parents for not reporting their children involved in cult activities and reassured the public that the police will not release any minors found engaging in such behaviors. “We are going to go for you, pick you up and destroy you,” Oshinowo warned, reaffirming his commitment to restoring peace and security in Agboyi-Ketu.
